South Haven Homes was founded in 2008 by Jeff Southard and has built multifamily homes and single-family homes from Layton to Cedar City. South Haven Homes has also completed a number of high-end residential remodels and light commercial tenant finishes. However, Jeff’s history in commercial development has allowed our company to expand into larger commercial development projects. Now, our co-entity South Haven Development (also owned and operated by Jeff) has completed over 200 apartments, several senior living communities, an upscale assisted living, and has many more commercial projects in the making. Giving Back

Working with the Utah Valley Home Builders Association, we recently directed a team comprised of local subcontractors and businesses to build a new home to benefit students at Brigham Young University, and have been involved with several of these homes. We recently completed a similar home for students at Utah Valley University.

Building on Decades of Experience

Jeff has over 20 years of experience in home-building, commercial development, and real estate sales—all specific to the Utah new home market. Jeff earned his MBA from the Marriott School of Management at BYU in 2003. He also has valuable practical experience from time spent working for national (John Laing and Centex Homes) and local (Trophy and Liberty Homes) builders before starting South Haven Homes. Jeff has a track record of building out successful multi-family, senior housing, and single-family neighborhoods and increasing profits for multi-million-dollar operations. Jeff works with an emphasis on ethical performance and a collaborative leadership style to gain the respect of his employees, partners, and investors.
